The Local Federation of East Lapland is a voluntary federation of municipalities, owned by the City of Kemijärvi and municipalities of Pelkosenniemi, Posio, Salla and Savukoski.
The organization was founded in 1993 to take care of East Lapland’s interests of surveillance, to increase area’s cooperation, to promote regional development and cooperation with neighboring areas.
